How these were placed

Plots. Each blue polygon was traced from your extracts and positioned by matching neighbouring farm names to surveyed places: Hooggenoeg 293 to its mapped farm point (with Tubex 295 to the east), and the Sekhukhuneland sheet to Penge, Bothashoek, Mooihoek and Maandagshoek. Twyfelaar 119 KT sits where the district label on sheet 3 matches its own extract, next to Driekop 253.

Accuracy. Shapes and relative layout come straight from the extracts. Absolute position is good to roughly 2–3 km, which is fine for context but not for boundaries. For survey-grade outlines, pull the SG diagrams from the Chief Surveyor-General (csg.dalrrd.gov.za) using the farm name and number.

Places. Ga-Selala, Mapeya, Ga-Ragopola, Steelpoort and Burgersfort use Census 2011 place centroids. Phala Phala uses the SA History Online record. Bryanston and Rosebank are suburb centres, so Masana is shown at Rosebank generally. Boundaries come from geoBoundaries and Natural Earth.
